As Executive Director of Cooperative Learning, LLC, Tamika Carmouche is no stranger to rolling up her sleeves to get the job done. Grounded in a deep belief in doing what’s right for children and families, she brings nearly twenty‑five years of experience across the early‑childhood landscape. Her career includes serving as a Head Start and pre‑K teacher/coordinator in Lafayette, Louisiana; an Early Childhood Project Director at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette; and a Senior Consultant, Manager and TTA Coordinator within the Office of Head Start’s Training and Technical Assistance Network.
Throughout her career, Tamika has delivered comprehensive professional learning for early‑childhood leadership teams, teachers, and family advocates. She has partnered with state agencies, school districts, Head Start and Early Head Start programs, and more than 300 child care centers impacting the lives of children across Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, and beyond. Her expertise also includes the use of key program‑quality instruments such as ELLCO, ECERS‑R, ITERS‑R, and CLASS.
Tamika holds a Bachelor of Science in Child and Family Studies, a Master’s in Education, and has completed all coursework in the Marriage and Family Therapy doctoral program at the University of Louisiana at Monroe. In addition to her consulting work, she has coached and mentored future early‑childhood educators as an adjunct instructor at South Louisiana Community College.
